Compaq strikes alliance with indiamarkets

Compaq Computer India Pvt. Ltd., and B2B marketplace, indiamarkets.com, have announced a strategic alliance to extend the benefits of Compaq's online store, Cooldukaan, to indiamarkets' subscribers.

indiamarkets' subscribers consist of over 45,000 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) from diverse industries such as Chemicals, Automobiles, Healthcare, Consultancy Services and Information Technology. Through this alliance, Compaq will provide them the benefits of reliable, configured to order Compaq products at affordable prices.

indiamarkets' subscribers will in addition deal directly with Compaq, right from the purchase order stage to delivery, installation and post sales support, through the Compaq Cooldukaan Call Center. As part of a special introductory offer valid till January 15, 2001, indiamarkets' subscribers will also get one year of free unlimited Internet access, free Antivirus Software, and a Windows Accounting Package, on purchase of a Compaq business PC. Joint communication has been sent out to indiamarkets' subscribers detailing the offers.
