indiamarkets, Ariba forge B2B deal

indiamarkets, a business-to-business horizontal e-commerce marketplace, and B2B e-commerce platform Ariba Inc have announced they will jointly promote B2B e-commerce in India.

indiamarkets will provide an India-centric supplier pool for the Ariba Commerce Services Network (CSN), leveraging its network of ebusiness centers across the country, reaching out to suppliers to take their e-business initiatives forward.

Ariba CSN allows for “transparent collaboration” between buyers and suppliers with “many of the world’s largest buyers already using it to locate and trade with new and existing suppliers.”

indiamarkets is promoted by IMO Communications Pvt Ltd. It claims it is an aggregation of 29 industrial supplier communities across 150 product categories; with 48,000 registered users.
