IMO Comm launches B2B infomediary

IMO Communications Pvt. Ltd. has launched www.indiamarkets.com, India's first comprehensive B2B infomediary, which will provide online content and e-commerce enabled services to small and medium companies.

EM Warburg, Pincus & Co. LLC (Warburg), an international private equity fund, has invested an undisclosed sum in this company. Besides, the fund Managing Director Dalip Pathak has been inducted as a director on the Board.

Talking to mediapersons here on Friday, the company managing director Rohan Ajila said "the site offers a range of services for the business community, including supplier listings, auctions for surplus inventory, used machinery and industrial assets."

"Anyone can get registered with our site at free of cost. As of now, we have 4,000 companies listed on our site, we are getting over 40,000 hits per day, more than 100 onsite enquiries per day and we have more than 130 diverse product categories. We have also tied up with bplnet.com and Feedback Marketing Services. We are proposing to invest $ 10 million in setting up a nationwide sales and marketing network, brand building and business development in the short term," he added.

He said, we will enable businesses to decrease transaction time, overheads and optimise processes involved in disposing idle assets and surplus inventory.
