The company was founded in 1958. It is a large state-owned class II enterprise and a first class calculating unit. The company covers an area of 580,000 square meters and has a special railway facility. More than 1500 units of all kinds of production facilities are available, of which about 300 units are large sized and precise ones. It has a capacity to produce 15000 tons of machinery products, 40000 tons electric furnace steels and 10000 tons machinery castings and forgings per year. It is a heavy-duty machinery production enterprise with the most powerful machining capacity in the region. By the end of 2003, it had assets amounting to RMB 294 million Yuan.

The plant mainly manufactures and produces complete set of machinery and equipment used in Metallurgical, Mining, Cement and Sugar Industry, Heat & power plant, Chemical, Light Building Materials Industry etc. The machines and equipment made are sold in Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, and South America and all over the country except Xizang and Taiwan. The Æ 2.9-3.5m Steel Ball Mills made by them are recommended by the Relative State Ministry & Council as the substitute for import. Jaw crusher serial products got them the high-quality-products award. PE400x600A Jaw Crusher is super-quality product awarded by the Relative State Ministry. Apart from these 15, 18 and 25 tons underground Mine Tramcar fills the domestic gaps, 350-1200mm stainless steel tape cold-rolling mill, complete sets of 1000-2500t/d-cement rotary dry-type production line and 1000-10000 t/d sugar production line are also their popular products at home and abroad.

The plant is ISO9001: 2000 certified with a license to import and export its own products and has been chosen as an “honour-contracts-and-creditability” enterprise for 14 years in succession sine 1990. It is a modernized enterprise under advanced management, strict quality control and rich technical force.

In recent years the establishment has speeded up the reform of organization system, rebuilt several specialized subsidiary companies under controls of the plant according to the modern enterprise system to produce steel castings, iron castings, steel forgings, pressure vessels, spare parts, industrial gas (oxygen, nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide and acetylene), medical oxygen, industrial springs.

The organization has imported the financial resources of the people, made use of the idle land and workshops at the east of the plant to develop the production materials market in the City. It is a large modernized commodity interflow Zone incorporated with the functions of transportation, distribution, storage, loading & unloading, packing, processing and information service. This promotes the development of both the enterprise and the local economy.
