WHY SHOULD YOU GIVE INFORMATION TO D&B?

  • To attract good customers and find reliable suppliers
It is a smart business decision to provide D&B with current information on your company. Why? Because thousands of businesses look for it every day. Having complete information can be the difference between winning or losing an account or credit opportunities. Customers/ Suppliers request credit reports on new, as well as excising customers. In fact, today’s volatile economy means more and more companies are using third party sources to monitor the status of their client portfolios. So, make sure your report tells the complete story of your business
  • To save time
In today’s fast paced world, the inclination to have customers filling out lengthy credit applications is decreasing, while the tendency to refer to third party information, such as D&B is increasing. In some cases, D&B is even assisting companies in managing and assessing their credit risks by performing a range of custom designed services.

How are we able to do this? The past is frequently a prediction of the future and D&B has capitalised on that. We have developed powerful predictive scoring models that can assist companies in deciding the likelihood of financial distress in the future. In the final analysis, any application process will be quicker if your D&B report is complete and up to date.

THE D&B INDIA INDICATIVE RISK SCORE®

Companies operating in the small & medium sectors are more prone to macro-economic changes than larger companies. This is especially true in transitional economies such as India. Thus, in the Indian context, it is critical to assess the resilience of Small & Medium Enterprsises (SMEs). D&B India has developed the Indicative Risk Score® (IRS) model for this purpose.

The IRS Model considers both financial and non-financial parameters while arriving at a risk score for a small or medium enterprise. Based on these parameters, the model assigns the following six Indicative Risk Scores to the assessed SMEs:

Indicative Risk Score  Description of condition
S1  Strong
S2  Good
S3  Fair
S4  Moderate Risk but overall condition is fair
S5  Risk
S6  High Risk
